I was a bit confused when a client approached me recently asking to have regular portraits done of herself, not for a business or anything, just for herself. Her kids wanted images of her as she is now: happy, confident, independent, and most importantly living life. So that is what we did. She grabbed a couple dresses, got her hair done, and we went on an adventure to dance in the woods, splash water at each other, giggle, and make some slightly inappropriate jokes--the laughs were totally worth it! It was a wonderful evening and I think these are some of my favorite images ever. <3
